While enjoying a meal with his spouse, Jacks Anderson couldn’t help but notice a man staring at him. However, upon further inspection, he realized that it was actually a hefty black pit bull named Poppy. The stray pooch was seated on the pavement below the counter stools, observing the couple while they ate. Later, as they headed back home, they noticed the same dog once again. This time, they noticed her swollen belly and decided to lend a helping hand. According to Jacks, Poppy was watching them intently but never begged or approached them for food. The vendors from nearby stalls tried chasing her, but she scampered away in fear.
As Jacks Anderson and his wife took a break to have lunch, they couldn’t help but notice a certain someone looking at them. It wasn’t a person, but rather a big, black pit bull named Poppy. The canine had wandered onto the sidewalk and stationed itself right under the counter stools where the couple was dining. Poppy just sat there, seemingly interested in the humans munching on their meals.
As the couple made their way home after their lunch, they came across the stray dog once again. This time, they noticed her huge and pregnant belly and decided to offer her some help. The canine kept a close watch on them but did not approach them or ask for any food. The vendors around the area tried to catch her attention, but she was too scared, and she ran off. Once the couple took her in, Poppy was finally safe and happy in a pleasant environment. “We stopped to let Poppy calm down, and surprisingly, she was much more relaxed than we expected,” Jacks shared with The Dodo. He had never seen a dog cry before, but when his wife showed compassion towards Poppy, she shed tears, leaving a lasting impact on them.
The couple took their new furry family member, Poppy, to the vet for treatment against fleas and parasites. After being given a clean bill of health, they brought her home with them to start their new life together. At first, Poppy was content to sleep and relax on the couch, but over the past few days, she has become more active and curious about her surroundings. She has also gotten along well with the couple’s other dogs, Nacho and Frida, and has quickly become an essential part of their family. Poppy’s puppies will be staying with the family until they are ready for adoption by loving families.
Jacks has given his response, stating that Poppy will stay with them. They are still getting to know her and building a bond of trust, so he doesn’t want to put her through the process of getting acquainted with someone new. He believes that she deserves honesty and directness in their approach towards her.
