In Arlington, Virginia, on July 10th, 2022, three newborn kittens were brought into Foster Kitten HQ, known as “the Grecian Greys,” who were infested with fleas and dirt. The rescuer was bidding farewell to ten other kittens who were prepared for their forever homes. Looking at all the foster kittens in the headquarters, you realize how fortunate they are to have a shot at a happy life while so many others don’t stand a chance. The Grecian Greys were not only covered in grime but their mother, Queen Gray, had also suffered an abdominal injury, needing emergency care. Fortunately, she survived the surgery but required further time to recover in a different foster home. The Grecian Greys were so young that they hadn’t yet grasped the concept of drinking milk from a bottle or even flea-free living. After receiving a bath, their fur was fluffy once again, and their crusty eyes were taken care of by the rescuer. The rescuer explained that since they didn’t understand how to use a bottle, they would be tube-fed until they started to latch. The following day, the kittens were given Grecian-inspired names: Veria, Delphi, and Milos, with Milos being the only male. One of the kittens, Veria, was introduced to the world through the rescue organization’s social media platform.

The Kittens Make a Swift Recovery
Remarkably, within just a few days of receiving treatment, the Grecian Grey kittens showed promising signs of improvement. Despite being clueless about how to drink from a bottle, they quickly adapted and started feeding themselves, leading to noticeable weight gain. All of them were in good health, with Veria emerging as the chonkiest of them all. Her eye infection healed rapidly and almost completely. When they arrived, the kittens were covered in fleas and grime, but a few baths later, they became soft, fluffy, and entirely free of pests.

The rescuers have recently shared a heart-melting video of the Grecian Greys enjoying a bubble bath on their third week of birth. Delphi seems to be blowing endless bubbles, while Veria sports a cute bubble hat. It’s pure cuteness overload!
To celebrate his three-week milestone, Milos is enjoying a luxurious bubble bath to indulge and pamper himself. 🧼
The kittens feel the absence of their mother and so they have a stuffed animal called Calmeroos cat with a heartbeat as a replacement. “Milos is keeping an eye on his sisters with affection 💙”.
As July came to a close, the Grecian Greys had reached the exciting “crazy potato stage” where they were full of exploration and playfulness. The little pups were quickly outgrowing their previous play area and it was time for an upgrade. They were given a larger space to roam around in, and needless to say, they were thrilled. The #greciangreys were having a blast in their new foster room, and the next level of fun was on the horizon- a whole room to themselves!
As the days passed, the little ones under the care of Calmeroos cat mom grew bigger and stronger. In no time, they would soon be ready to find their loving forever homes. However, this transition was not without challenges as it required the tireless effort of compassionate foster care providers who dedicated their time and energy to round-the-clock care for these furry cuties. Such a selfless act demanded sacrificing their sleep for weeks to ensure that these adorable furbabies had the best chance at survival in the world.
The rescuers are taking extra care to find a suitable home for these adorable kittens so that they can have the best possible start in life. They are hoping to find a home where the kittens can stay together or in pairs, and they are optimistic that they will find the perfect match. Interestingly, it appears that the smaller the litter, the stronger the bond between the kittens. How cute is that? 😍
